Ricky L. VAILLANT

VAILLANT Ricky L. Ricky L. Vaillant, 55, passed away on March 31, 2011 at home surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with cancer. He was born in Oak Harbor, OH on June 15, 1955 to Lloyd and Thelma (Sharpe) Vaillant. He was a graduate of Genoa Area High School and a graduate of Pinellas Technical Education Center with a degree in Marine Mechanics. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Rick was skilled in many trades but enjoyed working as a marine mechanic in Florida, where he resided for 18 years. Rick enjoyed spending time with his family and is survived by his wife, Cynthia Vaillant; sons, Richard Vaillant, Kyle Vaillant; daughters, Ashley (Michael) Huepenbecker, Brett Vaillant and significant other Jeremy Stuck; grandson, Cayden Stuck; 2 expected grandsons; mother, Thelma Vaillant, sisters, Valerie (Daniel) Lenke, Vickie (Phillip) Roselieb; brother, Gregory Vaillant, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd Vaillant and brother, Randall Vaillant. Family and friends may call at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home, 1163 W. Sylvania at Lockwood, (419-269-1111) on Tuesday, April 5th from 2-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will commence on Wednesday, April 6th at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
