Robert Barrera Obituary

BARRERA Robert T. "El-Borro" Robert T. Barrera Sr., age 85, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2006, in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 8, 1920, and resided in Toledo, Ohio from 1956 to 2006. An Army veteran of WWII, Robert was a laborer and vendor retiring at the age of 49. He was also a wonderful, loving person and great father. He is survived by ten children, six sons and four daughters, Robert (Kimberly) Barrera Jr., Lucy Nunez, David Barrera, Teresa (Carlos) Torres, Helen (Refugio) Montano, Joe (Sandy) Barrera, Ricky (Diane) Barrera, Deborah (Tomas) Sanchez, John (Chris) Barrera and Thomas (Sylvia) Barrera. Also survived by his sisters, Virginia B. Garcia, Maria B. Esquival and Lucy B. Solis as well as 30 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren and former wife, Mercedes Flores. Friends may call the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd. on Monday, December 4, 2006, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. where a Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m. in the mortuary with interment to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
