Robert C. "Bob" Gochenour

GOCHENOUR Robert "Bob" C. Robert "Bob" C. Gochenour, 69, of Buckland, passed away October 8, 2009, at 8 p.m. at his residence. Mr. Gochenour was born on December 3, 1939, to Robert W. and Lucille L. (Mahler) Gochenour in Toledo, OH. They both preceded him in death. On October 11, 1986, he married Barbara J. Murray who survives. He is also survived by 4 daughters, Judith Lynn (Donald) Wright of Savannah, GA; Robin (John) Duffin, Toledo, OH; Julia (Barry Melling) Gochenour, Hettinger, ND; and Michele (Lee) Eastman of Bridgton, ME; two step daughters, Karla (Tom LaBathe) Wickham and Kathleen (John Frankovich) Roland, both of Escondido, CA, and a step son, Karl (Tracy) Roland of Hemet, CA; two brothers, Donald and Dale Gochenour, both of Toledo, OH; 1 granddaughter, Sara Wright of Savannah, GA; and 8 step grandchildren. Mr. Gochenour was a 1957 graduate of Whitmer High School in Toledo. He was a tool and die maker for Modern Tool of Toledo with over 30 years of service. He was an avid hunting and sports enthusiast. He especially enjoyed watching the Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. A Memorial Service will be held Monday October 12, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the family farm located at 09811 S.R. 197, just north of Buckland. Officiating will be the Rev. Herb Wilker. Burial will take place on the family farm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to St. Rita's Hospice.
