Robert Hirzel Obituary
04/19/1952 - 10/08/2023
Robert David Hirzel, of Rossford, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the age of 71. He was born April 19, 1952, to Robert and Alva Hirzel. He was a 1970 graduate of Rossford High School and Penta County where he learned the welding trade.
He is survived by his sisters, Cheryl (Kevin) Fitzpatrick and Nancy (Craig) LaHote; nephews and nieces, Mike (Katie) Fitzpatrick, Nick Fitzpatrick, Mark (Rachael) Fitzpatrick, Lindsay (Austin) Rozelle, Alex (Kelly) LaHote, and Jessica LaHote; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Hirzel and Alva Hirzel.
Visitation will be held at Sujkowski-Walker Funeral Home, 830 Lime City Road in Rossford on Friday, October 13th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. and Saturday, October 14th, from 10:00-11:00 with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. followed by a burial at Lake Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Delta, Ohio or the Kidney Foundation of Northwest Ohio.

Took welding with bob he was the best man in my wedding was thinking of him the day of the funeral did not see the obituary until 4 pm I was very up set I didn´t get to say good by bob and I had lots of laughs together

My deepest sympathy to Bob's family. We had many conversations about his family hirtzel canning as we raised tomatoes for them years ago. Bob was such a kind and thoughtful guy and I missed him when he wasn't attending Trinity in Delta the last while. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.

Dear family of Robert,
We met Robert and his Mom Alva when they joined our church, Trinity Lutheran Church in Delta, several years ago. They both attended our church regularly. After Alva passed away Robert continued to drive from Rossford on Sunday mornings to attend. He was such a kind and caring man. Robert let Christ's light shine through him for all to see. He always called us by name - Bob & Carol. We will truly miss seeing him. Now, he can be in heaven with his Mom & Dad.
