Robert Korek Obituary
Robert 6/10/1944 - 12/25/2013
The angels came and
escorted Bob to his heavenly home early Christmas morning. He must to have wanted to spend Christmas with his heavenly family which includes his father, Herbert; his mother, Frances; his daughter, Courtney, and his granddaughter, Jada.
Bob served his country with great pride in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Essex. He was a member of the
National American Legion. Basketball was the love of his life. He felt he could have played professionally. He coached many teams including Special Olympics which he took to a state championship.
Bob was a people pleaser who made time for everyone and never said no to anyone. After a serious accident he found out few had time for him. Sadly he learned, 'If you can no longer do or go, you get left behind'.
There were no services and a private burial took place according to his wishes.

Connie, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. I know how much he meant to you. I'm glad that I was able to meet him at Charlie and Rachel's wedding. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.
