Robert LOWDEN Obituary

LOWDEN Robert William Robert William Lowden, 83, of Point Place, passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2010, at The Toledo Hospital. Bob was born October 6, 1926, in Toledo, OH. He was the son of Clayton George and Alma Alice Catherine (Peifer) Lowden. Bob was the grandson of Jacob Franklin Yeager, Seneca County's only Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, and his wife, Alice Elizabeth (Shaffer) Yeager. He married his first wife in 1955, Janice Ruth Moran then later in years, his second wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Williams. Employed as a forklift operator by AP Parts, he retired on disability in the 1970's. Bob was active in Big Brothers, and belonged to Lighthouse Church in Toledo, OH. He loved Cedar Point's roller coasters, boating, his cars, camping, and especially his dogs. Surviving are his daughter, Barbara Sue (Daniel) Myers of Lindsey, OH; grandsons, James Daniel (Leah) Myers and Jason Mitchell (Jessica Jacobs) Myers, great-grandsons; Benjamin James Myers and Samuel Joseph Myers, all from Genoa, OH; longtime Little Brother, Vincent Kajderowicz of Toledo, OH and his family; special friends, Donna and Brian Hall of Temperance, MI; cousin, Fred (Betty) Bowman of Tiffin, OH. Visitation will begin Sunday, January 31, 2010 from 2-7 p.m. at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., (419-726-1583). Funeral Service will begin that same evening, January 31, 2010, at 7 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Brian L. Dunn officiating. Graveside Services will be held Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make a contribution in Bob's memory are asked to consider Lighthouse Church, 2324 W. Alexis Road, Toledo, OH 43613.
