Robert Charles PERRY

PERRY Robert Charles Robert Charles Perry, known affectionately to one and all as "Bob" passed into eternal rest on June 23, 2012. He was 83 years old and a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. Bob was born and raised on the east side of Toledo and attended St. Thomas Aquinas parochial school and Waite High School. As a young man, he played basketball and softball and enjoyed many fishing trips and picnics with his large extended family. He began a more than 40 year career with Bob Eddy Buick (later Taylor Buick) immediately after graduation and served his country during the Korean War. After completing his hitch, he returned to the dealership and then met the love of his life, Lois Welzbacher. They married in 1957 and settled on the west side of Toledo to raise 3 daughters. Later in life, Bob enjoyed bowling, working in the yard, and spending time with his daughters and their families. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Irene (Morrin) Perry; brothers, Ted, Harold, and Richard, and wife of 51 years, Lois. Survivors include daughters, Karen Mohr (David), Janet Keiser (Doug), and Judy Brown (Pete Isaacs); grandchildren, Wendy Reick, Emily Reick, John Mohr, and Gina Wend; sister-in-law, Joy Perry; brother-in-law, Tom Welzbacher; brothers, Bill (Lois) and Rudy (Carol) Perry, and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to visit from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Online condolences: blanchardstrabler.com
