Robert A. "Bob"
Robert A. "Bob" Phipps, age 54, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013, at his home. Born March 12, 1958, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Leonard and Marion Phipps. A family man, Bob treasured the time that he spent with his children and grandchildren. He especially enjoyed the time that he spent at his cottage on Deep Lake, which he referred to as his heaven away from Toledo. Bob enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, and building models of cars, trucks, boats and motorcycles. He was very passionate about everything Harley Davidson.
Bob is survived by his wife of 4 years, Diane Phipps; daughters, Risa Phipps and Rhea (Doug Baumia) Phipps; son, Robert M. (Jen Deiners) Phipps; sister, Barbara (Richard) Shute; granddaughters, Jordyn and Braelynn; birth mother, Marie (Jay) Morris; good friend, William "Pops" Fox; step-children, Heather, Kelly and Douglas; half sisters Joyce and Tiffany; half brothers, Jay and Grover; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Lee Sears and many close friends and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his adoptive parents.
Family and friends may visit Monday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114 E. Alexis Rd. where the Funeral Service will begin at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Douglas Kruse presiding. Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society. Please view and share condolences at

Diane: We have only met a few times (once in the hospital and the other time at your house with Terry Flahiff).I enjoyed watching both you and Bob together, your love, stories of family times, admiration and respect you had for one another is a wonderful gift that only a few select can find!
