Robert Rerucha Obituary
Robert C. "Bob" Rerucha, 84, died peacefully on April 11, 2024. Bob was born in Toledo on August 2, 1939, to John V. and Thelma (Fifer) Rerucha. His mother died soon after, and he was raised by his step mother, Margaret (Reilly) Rerucha. Bob was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School and St. Mary's College in Kentucky.
Bob worked for 36 years at Capital Tire, as the warehouse manager. He volunteered at Miami Children's home, St. Anthony's Villa, and was a Big Brother to Scott McCluskey. Bob enjoyed living for many years up at Devil's Lake, and teaching many kids to waterski.
He supported "The Lady Irish" sporting events, and was known as Central Catholic's #1 Fan. One of Bob's goals was to encourage and praise kids of all ages to do their best.
Bob is survived by his loving family; sisters, Joanne Ling, Patricia Brandel, and Kathleen Bruss; sisters-in-law, Normajean Rerucha and Tish Rerucha; along with nieces and nephews, Christie (Jim) Borstein, Margie (Dave) Barba, Kevin (Debi) Reilly, Jack (Rose Mary) Reilly, Kelly (Mike) Cherry, Peggy (Tom) Selders, John (Laura) Rerucha, Linda Zwierlein, Sue (Dale) McGorty, Joe (Beth) Brandel, Mike (Angela) Brandel, Mike (Cindy) Bruss, Joanne (Mark) Shiple, Bill (Karen) Bruss, Bill (Stephanie) Rerucha and Tim (Rusty) Rerucha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John "Duke" Reilly, John "Jack" Rerucha, William "Bill" Rerucha; brothers-in-law, Robert Ling, Joseph Brandel, Jerry Bruss; and niece, Julie Peterson.
Friends may visit at the Coyle Funeral Home, 1770 S. Reynolds Rd., on Thursday, April 18, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joan of Arc Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, OH 43614, on Friday, April 19, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.

Bob has had a lasting influence on my families´ lives. In 1960 Bob taught me to successfully navigate the water ski jump on Devils Lake. I was 10 years old. Thereafter he coached me and my sisters to ski through the slalom course. As a result of his positive influence I still compete in tournament competition to date. Thank you for all you accomplished in your life.
