Robert Ryder Obituary
Robert Lee Ryder, 83, of Maumee, OH passed away on March 4, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. He was born on September 9, 1940 in Bowling Green, OH to Cilfford and Florence A. (Ernsthausen) Ryder. He graduated from Perrysburg High School and attended Ohio State University and Defiance College.
He married Colleen Caswell in Perrysburg, OH on February 27, 1965 and they had one child, Brett A. Ryder. Bob was in the Agribusiness, Fertilizer and Chemicals for over 40 years with positions in Marketing and Management. He retired in 2015.
Bob enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, special times with friends at Put-in-Bay, The Crews Nest where he was a member, golf and trips to the Casino but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Colleen Ryder; son, Brett Ryder; grandchildren, Zachary (Abbey) Ryder and Remington (Allan) Thompson. Bob will be missed by many.

We still think about Bob everytime we go to the gym. He would come from down the stairs and go to the Lat machine and then say "Hi". Bev & Ron Martin.

We have known Bob from Bally's, LA Fitness and E-Sporta. We did not know of his illness as we saw him 3-4 times a week at the gym. Always friendly and with a great smile. So sad to hear of his passing as we'll miss him. May his family and friends keep him in their hearts and minds forever.
