Robert Tadayesky Obituary

Robert Michael Tadayesky

Robert Michael Tadayesky, age 76, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 22, 2025, at StoryPoint Assisted Living. Born on March 28, 1949, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, he was the beloved son of Stanley and Amelia Tadayesky.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy, carrying with him a quiet strength and deep sense of duty. A self-taught car painter with a meticulous eye, he dedicated over five decades to the automotive paint industry-working for Stanley Jones in Easton, PA, for 10 years, followed by 5 years with Bob Bennets, and concluding with a 33-year career at BASF in Whitehouse, Ohio.

His passion for cars extended far beyond his profession. Robert was an avid drag racing enthusiast and took great pride in his 1969 Chevelle. Known for his humble nature and gentle spirit, Robert touched many lives with his kindness, craftsmanship, and quiet wisdom.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Melanie Tadayesky; his brother, Ed Tadayesky; and his former wife, Mary Lou Tadayesky. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shirley Skibitski; and his sister-in-law, Rose Tadayesky.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 104 W. Broadway Street, Maumee, Ohio. Burial will be private in St. Joseph Cemetery. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.walkerfuneralhomes.com.
