Ronald Burzynski Obituary
Ronald J.
Ronald J. Burzynski, age 51 of South Toledo, passed away December 20, 2015, at home after a ten year battle with cancer. Ron was born July 8, 1964, in Toledo, to Ronald and Darlene (Guziolek) Burzynski. After graduating from Macomber Vocational High School in 1982, where he played football, Ron married Cheryl Jording August 15, 1987, in St. Pius X Catholic Church. Ron worked at the Little Caesars Pizza on Talmadge Rd. from 1982 until 1987 and Toledo Store Fixtures from 1988 until 2001. In 2001 he began working for The City of Toledo Water Treatment Plant until he retired in 2006 as a Millwright. He enjoyed vacationing and camping with his family, Caribbean cruises, woodworking, bowling, dartball (with his "Family Spirit" team), and his monthly poker game with his buddies. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and a devoted dog owner. Not only was Ron active as a Cub Scout leader and basketball coach at Whittier Grade School, but he was also a 3rd Degree Knight of Columbus with West Toledo Council 3122, where he was an integral part of the Lenten Fish Fry for many years.
Surviving are his loving wife of 28 years, Cheryl; his children, Jonathan and Ashley Burzynski, and his sisters, Robin (Kevin) Flowers, Catherine Rodriguez and Hope (Bob Meyers) Wietrzykowski. Also mourning his loss are his parents-in-law, Harland and Elizabeth Jording; brothers-in-law, Charles (Pam) Jording, Timothy Jording and Gary (Sharon) Jording; along with many nieces, nephews and his dog, Pebbles.
Friends and family are invited to Ron's Life Celebration Wednesday, December 23, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Urbanski Funeral Home, A Life Celebration Home, 5055 Secor Road (North of Laskey), (419) 475-5055. Closing prayers will begin in the funeral home Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Hyacinth Catholic Church at the corner of Parkside Blvd. and Victory Avenue, Toledo, Ohio. Interment will be private.
Ron's family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their tender care and compassion.
