Ronald Iler Obituary
Ronald W. Iler, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1946, to Robert and Eunice Iler in Oregon, OH. Ron went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Army. On June 27, 1970, he married Linda (Gahler). Ron worked for 33 years as an operator for the Sohio, later BP, Toledo Refinery, retiring in 2010. Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son and grandson, and golfing with many friends and family members.
Ron is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda; daughter, Christina; son, Steve (Misty); grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon), Michael, Jazmin, Dustin, Austin, Alexis; great-grandchildren, Brady, Cameron, Mia, Leah, Damyan, Jaxton, Payton and Elle; sister, Sharon (James) Souders; brothers, Robert (Rose), and Kevin. He was preceded in death by his parents; lifelong friend, Tom Hallock.
A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church, 5757 Starr Ext., Oregon, Ohio, 43616, on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. Those wishing to express sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's name to Christ United Methodist Church. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

I sit here starring at this screen not knowing exactly what to say about my first cousin Ronnie. His father and my father were brothers. But Ronnie and I were friends also. Every so many months we would get together for lunch. Usually at Olive Garden. And we all order the same thing. We would talk and laugh for hours. We would hug each other goodbye and each time it always seemed liked the last time. I guess I waited too long for our lunch together. I will miss him more than you will ever know.
