Ronald Lukasik Obituary

LUKASIK Ronald S. Sr. Ronald S. Lukasik, age 66, of Maumee, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 2, 1940 to Stephen and Verna (Kleparek) Lukasik. Ron started working at the age of 9 delivering the Toledo Times. At age 15, he started the Ron Lukasik Band where he played the accordion. When he turned 16, he started his career with Seaway-Foodtown and worked his way up as store manager at various Foodtown stores. He retired in 2000 as store manager of Seaway-Foodtown at the Alexis and Tremainsville Rd. store. Ron was a sports enthusiast and was a fan of Notre Dame, the Detroit Tigers and the Lions. He also enjoyed fishing and dancing. Ron's highlight was coaching little league baseball and basketball with his son, Ron Jr. Most of all, Ron enjoyed being with his family and was a man of high values and always did the best he could. We will miss his sense of humor and his great wit. He was a member of the Maumee Eagles and Elks, and was a 3rd Degree member of the K of C - St. Joseph Maumee Council. Ron was also a member of the O.T.B.C.. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Patricia Folta. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 34 years, Joan (Orzechowski); son, Ronald Jr. (Anjenene); sisters, Joanne (Joseph) Zdunczyk and Phyllis (James) Szymanski; brother-in-law, Richard Folta; and by his loving pet dog "Annie". Family and friends may visit at St. Joan of Arc Church (5856 Heatherdowns Blvd.), on Saturday, March 10, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements by W. K. Sujkowski & Son Funeral Home (419-385-5305).

I was the meat manager at Food Town 42 in Monroe MI and Ron was store manager. I miss all the good times we had. His memories with remain with me forever.
