Rosalie Henning

HENNING Rosalie (Morin) Rosalie (Morin) Henning, age 89, of Erie, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 19, 2007, at the Lutheran Home of Monroe. Born March 22, 1918, in Carleton, she was the daughter of Louis and Caroline (Burger) Geiermann. She graduated from Carleton High School as salutatorian in 1936. She also graduated from St. Vincent's School of Nursing in 1939. She married Alonzo Morin October 21, 1939, and he preceded her in death February 11, 1987. She then married Donald Henning November 11, 1988, and he preceded her in death October 2, 2001. She was a member of Water Towers Seniors of Luna Pier, Frinedship Club Seniors of Erie and St. Anthony's Seniors of Erie. She was an auxillary member of the Knights of Columbus in Erie, the Erie VFW and St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Altar's Society in Erie. She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Jim) Buckenmeyer of Swanton, and Diane (Lori) Mohammed of Toledo; her sons, Dale (Carol) Morin of Erie, Richard (Cynthia) Morin of Monroe, and Gerald (Kimberly) Morin of Harrison; her stepsons, Gary Henning of Toledo and Dennis Henning of Luna Pier; a brother, Jerry Geiermann of Newport; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth Byrd. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 - 8 p.m. at the Erie location of Bennett-Prochnow Funeral Home where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. She will lie instate from 10:30 a.m. until time of Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Erie.
