Sorry about Donnie's passing

Remember the NIKE logo..."Just Do It!"? That is how I remember Don. He and Maureen were always working to get things done for anyone who needed their help. When I first began to know him, we were both working on Angie and John's first home. My job was pulling nails out of the hardwood floor. His job was re-wiring, re-spackling, re-nailing, re-painting, repairing and re-doing whatever. And he never stopped. I grew to really appreciate Don and Maureen's tireless work during the Relay for Life, for his flag-flapping girls, for our wonderful get-to-gethers with the multitude of grandparents. Maureen, Carole, Andrea, and my wonderful daughter-in-law, Angie...I am truly sorry he left you way too soon. Perhaps repairs were needed in heaven. Rodney, who worked with Don years ago at Welcome Pontiac (before he knew about a John and I knew about an Angie!) said, "I'm going to miss ole Donnie." Me too. Much love to all your family. Our prayers are with you.

Moe, Carole, Andrea,

We are so sorry for your loss, Don will truly be missed. He was always there for the band, and for all of you. It just will not be the same without him, doing so much for the kids. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Maureen and Family, I was so surprised to get a text concerning the loss of Don yesterday from Dr. Smith. My heart is sadden by your loss. Don was such a GREAT person to have working for us. Always friendly and willing to help out whenever he was needed. He also really took his job of keeping our kids safety to heart. Oh how precious time is when something like this happens so quickly. We often don't even realize it completely until something like this opens our eyes. My deepest sincere sympathy goes out to each of you. I pray that God will watch over ech of you as you reach to Him for the strength each day to accept this terrible loss in your lives. Know that others care and are thinking of you during this difficult time. Janet Wolff, Maumee School Board

Mo, Carole and Andrea

My family and I are deeply saddened by your loss, our prayers and love are with you! I truly enjoyed being around Don his smile and disarming manner, but most of all for his example of being a loving father and dedicated husband. His pride in your family and of each of you is an example to all of us in never forgetting to let the special people in our lives know how much they are loved.

My Dear Moe, Carole Ann, and Andrea,
We are so sorry for the gaping hole in your hearts today - we have one too! We loved Don so very much and will miss him terribly. We will never forget the generosity and hospitality he has shown our family (and yours) for so many years (way too few though!) -
Biscuits and Sausage Gravy will never be the same! :-)
May God's Peace be always with you.
We will be praying for continued strength for you all to go on and remember all of the great times and joy Don brought to all of us.
Remember the song "Only the Good Die Young"? I believe it may have been written for Don.
We love you all so much!
