Sara Ann Susor, 46, of Toledo, Ohio, died Sunday, December 26, 2021, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born March 27, 1975 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of Mark E. and Cynthia A. (Kalka) McMahon. She married Eric J. Susor on August 20, 2016.
Sara was employed as a nurse at the Merritt House, Toledo, Ohio for over 20 years.
She loved her patients and the people she worked with. Sara enjoyed her music, coffee and her dogs. She was known to love anything to do with Bats, tattoos or the internal working of the human body. Sara was easy to talk to and open minded. She found therapy and solace in her dogs, Saxon and Mabel. As a child she loved spending summers at Deep Lake with her grandfather and any friends she brought along.
Sara is survived by her loving husband, Eric J. Susor; children, Taylor (Jacob Holt) McMahon, Zach McMahon and Hailey (James) Walter; sister, Kathryn (Justin) Grochowski; granddaughter, Nora Walter; nieces, Olivia and Addison Grochowski; nephew, Wyatt Grochowski; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; and sister, Jess McMahon; and her dog, Sue.
A Celebration of life gathering will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, with her Celebration of Life service beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, Michigan. A special thanks to all the nurses and care givers at the Toledo Hospital for their loving care and support.
