Sarah Wolfrum Obituary
Sarah J. Wolfrum, age 62, of Defiance, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at ProMedica Defiance Hospital. She was born on September 18, 1960 to the late George and Berta (Smith) Morris in Defiance, Ohio. She was a 1978 graduate of Defiance High School. On May 11, 1985 she married Mark Wolfrum, who survives.
Sarah was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Defiance Eagles and Defiance Moose Lodge. She worked for over 40 years in management at McDonald's Restaurant until her retirement in 2019. She enjoyed being a one on one aide for Good Samaritan School. Sarah loved her time spent with her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family and many good friends.
Sarah is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Mark Wolfrum of Defiance, her children, Joy (Tim) Grahn and Joseph (Jessie) Wolfrum, all of Defiance; eight grandchildren, Hayley (Matt) Leatherman, Mark (Makalya) Clellan, Layne Clellan, Kohle Clellan, Reese Grahn, James Wolfrum, Luke Wolfrum, and Simon Wolfrum; and three great-grandchildren, Patrick Corner, Novah and Miles Clellan. She also leaves behind her brothers, George R. (Tonie) Morris, Jr., Rudy (Julee) Morris, and David (Bobi) Morris; her sisters, Connie (Tom) Haver, Tina (Gary) Siler, Jenny (Tim) Greear, Janice (Mike) Wolfrum, and Gina (Gannon) Bryant; brother-in-law, Bill Kuckuck of Defiance; three sisters-in-law, one additional brother-in-law; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Berta Morris; her stepfather, Raymond Bott; and sister, Ellen Kuckuck.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2023 from 2-8 p.m. at Schaffer Funeral Home in Defiance. A Mass of Christian burial will be on Monday, April 24, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, with Fr. David Cirata officiating. Burial will follow the service at Riverview Memory Gardens.
