I hope God grants you the knowledge
of loved ones on earth who are hurting and crying over the loss of you. Such a special person and a love that is so missed. You were and are in spirit such a gifted child of God. Your kindness, helfulness, baby blue eyes, that sparkle in your smile, and witty sense of humor were all so contageous and can never be replaced.
I'm painting the likeness of you for some family members and I pray it brings a sense of peace to their homes. Thank God for giving us knowledge and technology to have tangable pictures that froze special times shared. Don't make it an idol, but cherish his likeness as a fond memory you hold dear to your heart. His spirit will show up around you and you will feel it in your heart. There will always be reminders of those little things he stood for and certain phrases he spoke that will make your heart leap and at times feel joy.
Belief in what God promises is a gift. I'd rather believer there is a God rather then live without him and find out there is a God. What would be the outcome? Only God knows our hearts.
For I know God is gracious and loving and saved Scott from a probable life of illness here on earth. Now would we really want that? Now he knows nothing but peace and tranquility in paradise. I may not be able to fathom what it will be like, but I know what the Bible tells me and I know Scott is a child of God and Christ Jesus who saved him from sickness and despair.
For whoever reads this message, I pray your memories were as sweet as mine. He was a great cousin and friend. I've known him my whole life and though we did not see each other often enough, his voice and laugh echo in my head. A fond remembrance of "Scooter".
Kathy, if you read this, you are not alone. You have all your family and friends who love you and pray for your well being. Life changes in so many ways but God left traces of Scott everywhere for you to treasure and not just to remember. Scott is your spiritual inspiration from everywhere and everything around you.
He never stopped loving you he just went home to wait for you. Scott reached his plateau the day he met God's peace and now he awaits Jesus' second coming to complete the story of God's precious and priceless gift of grace.
It's just hard to deal with because we are weak human beings. We have to learn to go on without them. It's always a big question of why God takes the good ones early (so it seems) but their is a method to this madness. It's just another demension of time and place. We all must take this road someday. Just know that God is love and our ultimate goal is to reach Him. Scott is happy where he is now, and I know he was happy on earth. God just blessed him in so many ways. God Bless you with healing. Don't be angry and hold onto anger to long it only holds you back from moving forward. Hold Scott is esteem and never forget who've you become because of him.
