Sharon Fish Obituary

FISH Sharon Lee Sharon Lee Fish, age 69, of Whitehouse, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2007, after a long and courageous 19 year battle with Parkinsons. She was born in Richwood, Ohio on September 5, 1938, to Harlan and Christine (Stierhoff) Burnside. Sharon graduated from Richwood High School and married Paul Richard Fish on June 30, 1957, in Richwood. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. In the past she worked in the office of Dr. Charles Holcomb, MD in Richwood, at the Lions Store in Toledo and 25 years as the office manager at Fish & Associates Insurance before retiring due to disability in 1994. Since moving to Northwest Ohio, they have maintained their home in the Waterville-Whitehouse area, but spent the last several winters in Punta Gorda, Florida. Paul and Sharon traveled to many places throughout the world together, and all around the United States in their recreational vehicle. They have been active in several camping clubs, including the Zenobia Shrine Campers, the Buckeye Wayfarers, and the Family Motor Coach Association. Even with all that work and traveling, Sharon was a great wife, mother and grandmother. She was also active in many organizations during her lifetime, including the Cub Scouts, the Waterville United Methodist Church, Anthony Wayne Schools, and St. John's High School. Survivors include her husband, Paul, and three sons, James R. (Joyce), William and Michael (Katrin), all of Waterville, OH; as well as five grandsons, Jerel (Emily), Jovan, Justin, Jonathan, and Nicholas. Her two brothers survive, Harlan (Peg) Burnside of Philadelphia, PA, and Bryan of Richwood, OH. Preceding her in death were her parents and a sister, Harlean Short. A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2007, at the Browning Masonic Community, 8883 Neowash Rd., Waterville, OH, with Rev. Gavin Pitt officiating. Following the Memorial Service, the family will host a Celebration of Sharon's life and visitation from 1:30 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. The family hopes that all friends and relatives will plan to attend. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Sharon's memory are asked to consider a donation to the Shrine Children's Hospitals. The family would like to convey a special thanks to all the wonderful people at Heartland Hospice and Woodhaven Care in Bowling Green. Paul and family, I was so shocked to read of Sharon's passing. I have had her on my mind and was just speaking to Carleen about her Tues. I stopped in to see her just after her birthday with my granddaughters and she looked beautiful! Take care and God Bless!
