Sharon Wilkins Obituary

Sharon Ruth Wilkins

Sharon Ruth Wilkins (née Hohenberger), a steadfast beacon of love and generosity, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2024, in Sylvania, OH. She was born on April 4, 1940, in Toledo, OH. Her life was a testament to the enduring power of kindness and the deep joy found in life's simple pleasures.

Sharon was a devoted wife to the late Ronald Everett Wilkins, with whom she shared a lifetime of cherished memories. Her legacy of love continues through her adoring family, including her daughter, Cheryl (William) Kraus; her son, Michael (Lori) Wilkins Sr.; and her beloved grandchildren, Lindsay Wilkins, Michael (Heather) Wilkins Jr., Brian (Barbara) Kraus, and Marcus Kraus; along with three great-grandchildren; and Sharon's sister, Barbara (Joseph) Klein.

A proud 1958 graduate of Scott High School, Sharon's professional journey began as a paralegal for Jack Gallon. Her career path later transitioned into sales, where she found a niche and thrived, culminating in her retirement from La-Z-Boy Furniture in 2015. Her colleagues remember her as a pillar of reliability and warmth, someone who brought the same dedication to her work as she did to every aspect of her life.

Sharon's interests were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She found solace in the tranquility of her garden, the warmth of a home-cooked meal, and the quiet companionship of the birds she lovingly fed. Her cooking and baking were not just hobbies, but expressions of her love, with every dish crafted to bring comfort and happiness to those she cared for.

Described by those who knew her best as loving, generous, and selfless, Sharon's impact on her community was profound and far-reaching. She was the kind of person who not only listened, but truly heard; who not only gave, but did so without expecting anything in return. Her selflessness was her signature, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her.

As we bid farewell to Sharon, we celebrate a life that was lived to the fullest, marked by an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the countless stories of her kindness, her laughter, and the gentle way she moved through the world.

Sharon Ruth Wilkins's presence will be dearly missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Her journey through life was a beautiful illustration of how to love unconditionally, give generously, and make the world a better place simply by being in it. As we honor her memory, we find comfort in knowing that her legacy of love will continue to flourish in the lives she touched. Online condolences to
