Steven Goldsmith Obituary

GOLDSMITH
Steven F.
Steven F. Goldsmith, 61, of Toledo passed away suddenly Friday, November 4, 2016, at Toledo Hospital.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Earl M. Goldsmith and Betty
J. (Welsheimer) Goldsmith; sister, Carol (Goldsmith) Polter; and grandson, John Scott Goldsmith.
He is survived by his loving wife, Debbie Goldsmith; sister, Bonnie (Russ) McCue; brother, Earl M. (Becky) Goldsmith; children, Michael C. Goldsmith, John D. (Tammy) Goldsmith, Timothy F. Goldsmith, Rob (Jen) Goldsmith, Kaylee (Robert) Mullins; 15 grandchildren; and one great grandson.
Steven attended Whitmer High School after which he proudly served in the
National Guard. Steven's nickname “Mr. Limo” was given to him as the owner/operator of Sylvania Limousine Service. He loved to travel the country, be outdoors and care for any wild animals that entered his backyard. One of his favorite things to do was walk with his son, Mike and his fur baby, Lanie, at Wildwood Metropark. Most of all he loved spending time with his
family.
His passion was playing the drums in the praise and worship team for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, at Northwest Christian Church where he was a friend, brother and mentor. Steven was truly loved by all and will be dearly missed.
Family and friends may visit at Northwest Christian Church, 1590 W. Temperance Road, Temperance, MI 48182 on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, from 2 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m.
Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Steven's name are asked to, in lieu of flowers, consider a monetary donation to his memorial fund. Feel free to call the Church with any questions at 734-847-5200.

Steve you were larger than life. Your enthusiasm transcended pettiness. You were always a beat ahead of the crowd. Thank you for your friendship and I look forward to our heavenly reunion. My apologies that I let the time go by before I got to take you up on your offer to get together again and make some music. You are the Champion my friend. jimmy Wuest

I'm am so sorry for your loss. Although I never had the privilege of knowing Steve on a personal basis I know he was deeply loved by my late husband, Rick Ross. I'm picturing them now in heaven together having a great time. Sending prayers up for all of you. ❤

My "Little Brother" as you always signed your cards to me. I was so devastated and shocked to get the call that you had passed away so suddenly. I still can't believe your gone. I will miss you and think of you every day. You have gone from us too soon. I hope you knew how much I loved you and how much you meant to me. You will be in my heart forever. But know one day we will meet again. I will cherish the Precious moments bear you bought me, more so now and especially what you wrote to me with it. I won't say goodbye, but until we meet again. My love goes with you always. You'll always be my "little brother" i LOVE YOU XX

Rejoice in Heaven Steve. The adventures we've shared are etched indelibly in my memoirs.
Steven F. Goldsmith was a Loving Step-Parent to my children, John D. (Tammy) Goldsmith, Rob (Jen) Goldsmith, Kaylee (Robert) Mullins; and Loving Poppy to my grandchildren and great grandson. As first cousins, Steve and I have been longtime friends, our adventures began early, and I am saddened to accept they've come to an end.

Walks at Wildwood. Stories about all of the 80's. DisneyWorld. Arizona. Colorado. Florida. Best Fall and Christmas decorator. Best Petunia grower. Melting candybars in the microwave and then freezing them. Endless picture taker. No filter in the movie theater . Could talk for hours on the phone. Barry Bagel lunch dates. Best Father in law I could of ever asked for. I love you and I will keep the memories of you close to my heart. I am more sorry than words can say that I was distant the last couple of years. I hope you knew how much you meant to ne.
