Steven Krieger Obituary

Steven Leonard Krieger

January 12, 1968 - September 7, 2024

Steven Leonard Krieger, 56 years old, passed at St. V's, while under hospice care, due to a short battle with liver cancer.

He grew up in the Point Place community and even had a pet store on Summit St. for several years. He also spent many years in the drywall trade.

Steve loved the Michigan Wolverines, fishing, boating, and had a strong love for animals. But his favorite thing in the world was being a Grandpa and spending time with family.

He had a kind heart and instantly turned all who knew him into a friend.

Steve was proceeded in death by his parents, Leonard and Darlene Krieger; grandparents, Glenn and Helen Gill. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Samantha (Krieger) Broderick and Kristin Krieger; sister, Kellie (Ward) Schlachter; nephew, Jacob (Mae) Rusk; niece, Jordan (Cory) Zalesak; ex- wife and friend, Linda Krieger; step son, Robbie Haggard; friend, Christine Rutkowski; best friend. Justin Grayson; 10 grandchildren and numerous friends.

Thank you to all who visited him in the hospital, called, and sent prayers.

As heaven opens the door to him he will be greeted, along with his parents, by his favorite dog Apollo.

Thank you, to the St. V's and Northwest Ohio Hospice team for keeping him comfortable his last days.

There will be a private cremation and private Celebration of Life. If you would like to donate in his name please donate to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Humane Society.

I love you dad so much I can't believe this is my last letter to you and this is how it is. Taken so quickly, too fast to even process. I don't know where to begin to try in heal the void you have left in my heart and soul. I can only pray you are with me still and I can make you proud. Your grandbabies will forever miss their GRANDPA STEVE the man and role you so proudly stepped up to be! I love you dad!
