Steve Meeks 59, of Swanton Ohio passed away unexpectedly May 24th 2024.
Steve spent 28 years married to his wife Kenya, and was the proud father of their daughter, Courtney (Jordan) Musselman.
He owned and operated Federal Fire Equipment Company, where he began his career at the age of 18. Steve was an avid bowler, dirt track race fan, golfer, and undefeated corn hole champion. He enjoyed camping with his family and at late model races, manning the grill and smoker to make sure nobody was ever left hungry. Steve loved to spend time "Up North" in Indian River, Michigan, snowmobiling, boating, and getting lost on the trails in the side by side. There wasn't a stranger Steve wouldn't talk to, a job he wouldn't help you with, any trailer he couldn't back up, a campfire he couldn't start, or a grocery store bargain he couldn't pass up. He will be remembered for knowing a little bit of something about everything, his gift of gab, and his love for Aubrie and Mason.
Steve is survived by his wife, Kenya; "the kids" Courtney and Jordan; sisters, Cheryl (Chris) Hooten and Trudy (Andy) Donnelly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joy and Clarence "Sonny" Meeks.
His family will be receiving friends and family at the Castillo Funeral Home, 1757 Tremainsville Rd., Friday from 2 – 7 p.m. where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. Memorial tributes may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.

JUST now heard about Steve passing away....way to early. For the past 10 years or so I had worked on Steve's computer and website.
I always enjoyed stopping by and having a chat with him.
He was a wonderful man.
My condolences to his family and friends.
