Joyce A. Meeks, a beloved wife, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, in Washington, PA. She was born on December 23, 1949, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Richard and Josephine (Donnavall) Baker, who predeceased her. Joyce lived a life marked by quiet grace and unwavering love for her husband and family.
Graduating from Avella High School as part of the Class of 1968, Joyce embarked on a lifelong career in retail, starting her journey at Grants. It was here that she met her devoted husband, Earl W. Meeks Jr. Their love blossomed, into a beautiful marriage on January 31, 1976. Recently, celebrated their golden anniversary, marking fifty incredible years together—an emblem of their dedication to one another.
A generous soul with a quiet demeanor, Joyce was cherished not only by her husband but also by her special cousins, Julia (John) St. Vincent and Tammy (Ronald) Kingan, and her best friend, Betty Hanes. Her presence in their lives was a source of warmth and comfort, filled with laughter and shared memories.
Joyce had a passion for exploring the world around her, enjoying delightful meals out and at home making her delicious pasta, taking trips to Pymatuning State Park and Sugar Creek, Ohio, with her husband. Each adventure was relished, each moment cherished, continuing to weave the tapestry of their life together.
Leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship, Joyce will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She passed away surrounded by the love of her devoted husband, who remained by her side through every moment. Her spirit will forever be remembered, as she touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity. Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers; Jeffrey l. Baker and Richard Baker

Friends and family are invited to the William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Ave Washington PA on March 5, 2026 from 2PM to 4PM and 6PM to 8PM. A funeral service will take place on March 6, 2026 at 11AM at the funeral burial to follow at Washington Cemetery.
