Terez
Terez Nemeth, 90, of Mansfield passed away February 29, 2016 at her home.
Terez was born September 1, 1925, in Hungary to Istvan and Terez Gerbositcs Dan. She came to Mansfield in January of 1957, and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Terez was a wonderful homemaker throughout her life and later in life retired as a seamstress from The Knitting Mill. She enjoyed gardening and was known for her vegetable, flower and beautiful rose gardens; cooking Hungarian dishes including chicken paprikash, goulash, strudel, kiflis and her infamous chocolate chip cookies she always baked for her grandchildren; beautiful needlepoint with numerous gifts she made for her family whom she treasured and enjoyed all of the family get-togethers.
Survivors include her children, two sons, Frank (Kim) Nemeth Jr. and Attila Nemeth; three daughters, Erika (Dan) Young, Ildiko (Dan) Danals of Shelby and Dr. Theresa Nemeth of Holland, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Sunny (John) Fahlgren of Powell, Frank (Keri) Nemeth III, Christy (Keith) Thomas, Attila (Renee) Nemeth Jr. of Westlake, Destiny (Brian) Murphy of Boston, Aaron Nemeth, Miranda (Scott) Willison of Ashville, Natasha (Ross) Repp, Walter (Anna Hodges) Danals of Ontario, OH and Nicole Bakken of Holland; 19 great-grandchildren, Cade, Maddie and Emma Fahlgren, Morgan, Mason, Lily and Lucy Thomas, Frankie and Chloe Nemeth, Sophia Nemeth, Ethan and Tegan Murphy, Colin Hubbard, Colton and Hadleigh Kime, Kayla Willison, Owen and Carson Repp, and Hunter Danals; sister, Matild (Elemer) Baranyai of Koszeg, Hungary; sister-in-law, Julianne Nemeth previously of Mansfield; numerous nieces and nephews in the U.S., Hungary and Switzerland.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ferenc Nemeth; 2 brothers, Istvan (Pista) Dan and Joseph Dan; sister, Helen Peszlen; daughter-in-law, Susan Nemeth; great-grandson, Logan Murphy.
A Mass of Christian Burial took place last Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Mansfield.
A special thanks to those who helped with the care of our mother, Dr. Dan Burwell, Tami Rabold, aides Kim Heenan, Erin Day, Toccara and Dawn, and special friend Liz Brown. Anyu-God truly blessed us to have you as our mother. We will always love you and miss you. Helping you over these last difficult years was a privilege. You will remain forever in our hearts and memories.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church or The American Heart Association.
