Mary Pat and all Anderson family members, I was shocked and deeply sorry to hear of Mr. Anderson's (Tom's) death. As a former employee, I have such pleasant memories of working with him and other members of your family. I recall his gentleness and willingness to "listen" and to assist any and all. What a blessing he was to all who came to know him!! He leaves a wonderful legacy and love in this community and all others he touched. You have my lasting prayers and wonderful memories. May God provide each of you continuing comfort and peace. Doris A. Greer (Toledo, OH)

Dear Aunt Mary Pat and family,

On my best and brightest of days, I will never be one tenth as clever, inventive, diplomatic, articulate, funny or talented as Uncle Tom was on his worst! In that regard, I think I am in very good company with the rest of world. Indeed, he was truly one of a kind, and we will sorely miss his deep voice and easy smile. I only hope and pray that I live a life half as kind, gentle, caring and faithfilled as his. He has certainly set the bar very high for those of us trying to travel in his inspiring footsteps.

We will surely feel the long-lasting ripple effect of his fun, tender, encouraging and loving ways forever. I know you'll agree: He lives on in our hearts!

With all my love and sympathy,
Donna Anderson
("Fierg's" wife)

Growing up I always heard my father talk about moving from the Hungarian side of town to the south end because of the Anderson brothers, whom my father played basketball. Tom Anderson, as all the other Anderson's, have always been truly special. We have loss a wonderful person. My sorrow is with all of you.

Aunt Mary Pat, "Mairce" et al -
There are so many great memories of growing up next door to all the Tipsters that it's hard to comprehend the change. Now are the times when it's really great to have a big family.

As for Uncle Tom and how he handled the past several years - I stand in awe. I have never witnessed such good humored acceptance of the way life is.

Love,
Kath-A-leen (Kayce)

PS - Attached is one of my favorite pictures of the family. For those who don't know, the order is: John, Tom, Bob, Sue, Don, Dick. The only one missing is Aunt Carol.

Tom F. and All Andersons:

I was sad to hear of the loss of your dad last night, but it brought back so many great childhood memories, growing up with all of you. I'll never forget the "contests" the boys had in the family room; and your dad always being decided the winner.
I was lucky enough to see Mary Pat and Tom in February at my dad's funeral. Your mom squealed "Doogie" and your dad's eyes twinkled, as the many memories came back to us all.
He will surely be missed by all, and I am proud to say that I had the privilege of knowing and admiring him.
Love and prayers go out to all.

Mary Pat,
I shall always treasure the time that I was able to spend with Tom when he was Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce. He really wanted the business community to play a more active role in the community and he worked very hard to make that happen.
His fund raising efforts are legendary, but the most important thing that I'll always remember is what a caring and wonderful person he was.

My sincere sympathy on your loss, but I know that he is now with Jesus.

Mary Pat, Mary, Molly, Andy and family--my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Tom was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a leader in the community. What a wonderful role model to all. He will be missed. He was always there to help in any way that he could. Mary, Molly and Andy were in my 4th grade class at St Joe's many years ago.
