Thomas Goebel Obituary

GOEBEL Thomas P. Thomas P. Goebel, age 57, of Toledo, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 31, 2008. Tom was a truck driver for the Northern Steel Co. for the past 6 years. Before that he worked for the Foodtown warehouse in Maumee, Ohio and for the Jeep Corporation. A mechanic for Rozanne Racing for 5 years, Tom was passionate about drag racing and raced in Norwalk, Ohio, Detroit, Michigan and Milan, Michigan. He was also an avid Detroit Lions and Tigers fan, and a well known Toledo area street racer. Tom and his wife, Diana (Pyle) Goebel, have been together for 27 years. In addition to Diana, he leaves behind his parents, James (Joan) Goebel of Temperance, Michigan and Patricia Paupard of Hobe Sound, Florida; children, Jesse, Julie, Tiffany, Eric, Christina, and Tim; 9 grandchildren, sister, Laura McClure of Morrisville, Pennsylvania; and brothers, Tim (Sharon) Goebel of Kissimmee, Florida, Mark (Annemarie Cremar) Goebel of Maumee, Ohio, Scott Goebel of Hobe Sound, Florida, and Christopher (Roxann Peckham) Goebel of Erie, Michigan. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-7 p.m. in the Sujkowski Funeral Home Northpointe, 114-128 East Alexis Road where funeral services will begin Wednesday at 7 p.m. Please view and share condolences and memories at www.sujkowski.com
