Thomas Keane Obituary

KEANE Thomas James III 7/5/1943 ~ 8/10/2006 Thomas James Keane III, 63, of Chandler, AZ formerly of Temperance passed away Thursday morning, August 10, 2006, at Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa, AZ of complications of lung disease. Tom was born July 5, 1943, at Monroe Mercy Hospital to the late Dr. Thomas Keane and Betty Smith Keane. Tom was a 1961 graduate of Monroe Catholic Central. He served in the U.S. Navy and was employed by United Air Lines at Dulles airport until his retirement. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Club and the American Legion and was active with the Commemorative Air Force also in Arizona Tom is survived by his former wife, Dianne Keane; four sons, George and Nathan Keane, Tom Bashore and Tim Oljniczak and daughter, Rachael Keane along with three grandchildren, TJ and Lauren Bashore and Amanda Oljniczak. He is also survived by four brothers, Pat (Peggy) Keane, Joe (Gail) Keane, John (Donna) Keane all of Temperance and Marty (Kathy) Keane of Ft. Myers, FL; six sisters, Mary (Bill) Hammerstein and Kathleen Hiller of Adrian, Barbara (Steve) Lane and Peggy (Bob) Johnson of Temperance, Rose (Jeff) Shaffer of Zambia, Africa and Terri (Brad) Doty of Plant City, FL along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by two brothers, Vincent Keane in 1996 and Michael Keane in 1999. In accordance with his wishes, Tom has been cremated. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Temperance, MI on Monday, August 28, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will follow the service at the VFW Post on Piehl Rd., Lambertville.
