Our cherished husband, father, brother and friend Thomas Troknya joined his parents and brother Francis in heaven on May 26, 2023 at the age of 77. Tom was born to George and Grace Troknya on January 4, 1946 and was the 4th of 7 children. Tom grew up in the Whitney Hills neighborhood and attended Gesu Grade School and Central Catholic High School. After graduation, he found employment at Toledo Oxygen and Equipment Company, working his way up from delivery driver to VP of Production. Upon retirement, he worked with his brother and best friend Dave, owner of Add More construction. Their time together was always well spent with humor and camaraderie.

Tom married his loving wife, Doris on November 7, 1969 and together they raised their children Colleen and Mark. Tom enjoyed family time, volunteering at the children's school, coaching and mentoring at cub scout outings.

A man of many talents, Tom was an avid reader, amazing bowler and passionate golfer. One of his proudest moments was scoring a hole-in-one on #13 at Maple Grove, September 14, 1991. He volunteered at Bayview Retirees Golf course, where he was a board member. When he wasn't volunteering, he could be found spending time with his treasured grandchildren Ashton and Devyn. They enjoyed board games, cards, chess, swimming and of course golfing.

Tom is survived by his wife Doris; children, Colleen (George) Graham, Mark; his siblings, Julia Mahoney, James, David (Maureen), Mary (CJ) Smith and Patricia (Dwight) Wittenberg. He leaves many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory as well.

The family will receive friends at St. Clements Church, 3030 Tremainsville on Thursday, June 15th from 9:30â€"10:30 a.m. with a funeral mass to follow. In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations to Autism Society of Northwest Ohio, 6629 W. Central Ave. Suite 1, Toledo, OH 43617.
