Virginia Norton Obituary

Virginia Norton

Virginia Ann Norton, 89, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, at Resthaven Maplewoods in Holland, Michigan. A longtime Findlay resident, Virginia made her home in Findlay where she was known as a mother, homemaker, and friend to many of her neighbors.

Virginia was born on January 28, 1936, in Toledo, Ohio, to James J. Kilcorse and Ella Mary Kilcorse (Dennis). She attended Good Shepard school and graduated from St. Ursula Academy in Toledo, Ohio, and while raising her family, worked at Sears Roebuck at the Findlay Mall. She found joy in reading novels, and her greatest pride was her family, whom she loved without reservation.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Robert Charles Norton; her children, Christopher Michael Norton (Catherine), Kelly (Norton) Raver (Terry), and Lisa (Norton) Corbin (Scott); eight grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, William (Billy) Kilcorse, James (Jimmy) Kilcorse and Ellen Muehleise; and her son-in-law, Terry Raver.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 750 Bright Road, Findlay, Ohio. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, in Findlay.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church to offer Masses in Virginia's honor.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Resthaven Maplewoods in Holland, Michigan, for their compassionate care. Online condolences can be expressed to the family by visiting coldrencrates.com.

I´m so sorry to read of Mrs. Norton´s passing. Oh my goodness, the wonderful childhood memories I have of growing up across the street from the Nortons. I´m pretty sure my mom and dad welcomed her into heaven. Sending love, hugs and prayers to you, Mr. Norton, Chris, Kelly and Lisa. She´s now at peace.

We were so sorry to hear of my Aunt Virgina's passing. I have many fond memories of her at holidays, graduations and special occasions. She had a great sense of humor and made everyone feel so welcome. To her children, Chris, Kelly and Lisa, know that you had a great Mom who loved you more than anything. To my Uncle Bob, I know she was your best friend and wonderful wife. All of you will be in our prayers. Love Anne and John Ducharme
