Walter Campbell Obituary

Walter A. Campbell Jr., known to everyone as Spoody, departed this life on Thursday, March 30, 2006, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Hospice, in Atlanta, Georgia. Born July 19, 1958, in Toledo, Ohio, Spoody was the 1st of six children born to Shirley and Walter Campbell, Sr. He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Brian Spencer.
He attended Jesup W. Scott High School and Owens Technical College. Some of Spoody's proudest days was the time he spent in the U.S. Army where he traveled extensively and received his Honorable discharge in June 1979.
He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, RaShonda (Eric) Williams; grandson, Eric Zion Williams; mother, Shirley Campbell; sisters, Phyllis Campbell, Deborah Campbell, of Toledo, OH, Sharon Dotson, of Atlanta, GA; brother, Michael Campbell of Louisville, KY; special friend, Gail Campbell and many extended family and close friends.
A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held at the Clarion Hotel, 3536 Secor Road, Saturday, April 8, 2006, at 11:30 a.m.
Donations can be made in his memory to: Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 760 Pollard Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30315.
