William Gwin Obituary

William Gwin

William Robert Gwin, age 52, of Parma, OH, passed away March 9, 2024. He was born in Toledo, OH to James M. Gwin and Carol S. Ringel on July 6, 1971.

William enjoyed swimming as a child and later swam competitively at the YMCA and was a lifeguard. He was a graduate of Clay High School and attended courses at Owens Community College. He later chose a career in pool and spa maintenance. When not at work, he enjoyed fishing, and all things Notre Dame football, however, his greatest joy was his family and friends.

Left to cherish William's memory are his children, Lia, Austyn, Braedyn, Donavyn; his grandchildren, Corbin and one on the way, Saylor; his brother, Thomas Gwin; his step-siblings, Kenneth Bodi and Beckie Bodi; his mother, Carol (Nelson) Bodi; the mother of his children, Casey Earl. He was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony Gwin; his step-sister, Janel Bodi; and his father, James Gwin. Family and friends may visit at Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, OH, on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the family.
