William Haubert Obituary

HAUBERT William A. William A. Haubert, 87, of West Toledo passed away Monday, May 29, 2006, in St. Charles Hospital. He was born in Washington DC to Olin and Anna Haubert on June 8, 1918. He married Doris Corley on February 1, 1940. William grew up in Snow Hill, MA and Park Ridge, IL. He graduated from Main Township High School and then attended the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago where he was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. William was employed as a chemist for 42 years with DuPont in Chicago and moved to Toledo retiring in 1982. He served his country honorably in the Navy during WWII. He greatly enjoyed fishing and spending time at Manapogo Park Campground in Orland, IN, with his family. He also enjoyed spending the winter months in Clearwater, FL. His hobbies included woodworking and singing in the choir at First Congregational Church. He will be lovingly missed by his children; son, Robert Haubert and daughter, Martha Adams; grandchildren, Kim (Ron) Szymanski, Keith (Michelle) Haubert, Scott (Lori) Haubert, Ann-Marie (Brian) Sigurdson, Sara Adams, Misty Matin; great-grandchildren, Ron and Zach Szymanski, Kevin and Matt Haubert, Kelly-Jo Haubert, Nicholas and Hannah Sigurdson, and his faithful dog, Nash and cat, Minnie. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents and his son, William. His family will receive friends from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 419-472-7633. Funeral services will begin on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the First Congregational Church. Interment in the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Congregational Church. William's family wishes to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at St. Charles Hospital for the excellent care that he received.

I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER ME OR NOT BUT I DO REMEMBER SEEING YOU FOLKS SEVERAL TIMES AT FIRST CONGREGATIONAL AS I GREW UP THERE OVER THE LAST SEVERAL YEARS.
