William Richard
William Richard Heller, 86, of Bowling Green, OH, died September 4, 2016, at the Bowling Green Care Center. He was born October 30, 1929, in Newberry, MI to Carl and Dorothy (Langford) Heller. He worked as a Quality Control Technologist at Johns Manville in Waterville for over 38 years. He retired June 1, 1988.
William was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, OH, and Velda Rose Methodist Church in Mesa, AZ. He was mayor of Haskins, OH in the 1960's and was a member of the Haskins Fire Dept. and the Lions Club. He enjoyed traveling, playing pool and music.
He is survived by daughters, Debra (Greg) Hermiller of Bowling Green, OH and Luane Bowley of Pemberville, OH; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Mildred E. (Baumbarger) and second wife, Ilene (Hustin); sister, Frances Gibbs; daughter, Janice M. Ford; and stepchildren, Diane (John) Rathbun and Donnie Swanson.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation Thursday, September 8, 2016, from 4-8 p.m. at Peinert-Dunn Funeral Home, Tontogany, OH. Funeral Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 315 S. College Dr., Bowling Green, Ohio. Memorial contributions can be given to Senior Independence Hospice.
