William Kowalka Obituary
William "Willie" Carl Kowalka age 62 of Northwood got his angel wings on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Willie was born to Fredrick and Suzanne (Furrer) Kowalka Jr. in Oregon, Ohio on April 21, 1960. He was a graduate of Clay High School and went on to earn his Associate in Business Management from Owens Technical College in 1986. Willie was a lifelong 3rd generation farmer. He loved going on trips, especially to hike waterfalls. Willie was a proud grandpa to 9 grandchildren and a member of the Sons of the Legion at Christ Dunberger American Legion Post.
Willie is survived by his wife, Tina Straub-Kowalka; children Angela (Troy) Fowler and Christopher (Delia) Kowalka; grandchildren Trinity, Amy, Queenzy Denille, Mary, Mitchell, Veronica, Vincent, Troy, and William; brothers Raymond (Polly) and Keith Kowalka; and the mother of his children, Laura Cooper. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Michelle Reed.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 2 until 8 p.m. At Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S. Wynn Rd., Oregon, OH. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Grace Bible Baptist.
