of Chelmsford, MA; 80
CHELMSFORD - Paul D. Gilfeather, 80, of Chelmsford, MA, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, surrounded by his family at Lowell General Hospital, Saints Campus, following a brief illness. He was the husband of Roberta (Kaplan) Gilfeather, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage.
Born in Chelsea, MA, on March 29, 1938, he was a son of the late Lillian (Burkhardt) and Francis Gilfeather.
Since retiring in 2005 from Hewlett-Packard, Paul had delivered Meals on Wheels to many Chelmsford residents. In recent years, he took great pride in being a member of the Middlesex Canal Commission.
In addition to his wife, Roberta, Paul is survived and will be deeply missed by his seven children, Margot (Ed) Malachowski, Julie (Phil) Gilfeather-Girton, Valerie (Robin) Gilfeather, from his first marriage, and Jodie (Jeff) Wise, Amanda (Dustin) Brandt, David Gilfeather, and Dan (Kristen) Gilfeather; his eight grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren.
Paul is predeceased by his brother, Frank Gilfeather.
GILFEATHER - Friends may call at BLAKE CHELMSFORD FUNERAL HOME, 24 Worthen Street, CHELMSFORD, on Thursday, September 6th, from 4-8 PM. His Funeral Mass will be held Friday, September 7th, at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Church, Chelmsford. KINDLY MEET AT CHURCH. Inurnment will follow in Pine Ridge Cemetery, Chelmsford.
