William Watson Obituary

WATSON William "Will" Sr. William "Will" Watson Sr., age 77, of Waterville, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on November 18, 1931, to George and Florence Watson in Toledo. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Korean War. He loved golfing, fishing and NASCAR, especially Bill Elliott. Bill was a lifetime fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He was an avid landscaper and often enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, George and Arthur Watson, and sisters, Betty Lanum and Grace Stuard. Bill is survived by his children, William Watson Jr., Alan (JoAnna) Watson, Michael (Brandi) Watson, Cheryl (Art) Roehrig and Anthony Watson; grandchildren, Derek, Michaela, Natallia, Toni, Samantha, Ashley, Hunter, Nikki, Desiree, Amy, Andrew and Samantha; some great-grandchildren; brothers, Ron, Fred, Rich and Ken Watson; sisters, Margaret, Rosie, Sharon and Judy; former spouse, Donna Watson; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive guests on Friday from 2 - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will take place Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the Alzheimer's Association. Dad, I am sitting her today thinking about you like I do everyday and I can't tell you how much I miss you. My heart broke when you left this world but Seeing what you went through the last few years I know your with other family and friends and having the time of your life. Not sick anymore that's what comforts me. I miss seeing your face and just sitting with you to watch a movie or football. Thanks for being my dad I will love you always and there will never be a day that goes by that I don't think about you. Please keep an eye out over my girls and keep them safe I know you have the power to do that now. Tell everyone that I love that your with that I love them and miss them and will see them someday.
