Linda Aoki Obituary

Linda Rae Peterson Aoki, 77, passed away peacefully at her home and was reunited with her two precious angel daughters on December 11, 2024, after a short battle with cancer.

Mom was born on December 2, 1947, after 12 years of patiently waiting, to Pat and Rae (Garn) Peterson, and oh was she loved!

Mom was raised in Fielding, Utah, by the most wonderful parents a girl could hope for. Life got even better when she became a big sister to LeAnn & Jack. She went to Fielding Elementary & Bear River High School where she graduated in 1965. While in high school she worked at her Dads, Jack & Pats Radio Shop, and as a carhop.

She met and married Terry Lewis and together they were blessed with four children Lori Rae, Scot Terry, Gina Lyn & Katy Ann. They were later divorced.

Mom was taught and knew the meaning of hard work. She worked at Fielding Elementary, North Park Elementary, IFA, Gepharts, Kings, La-Z-Boy, and the Honeyville post office. Sometimes working two jobs to make ends meet. She met many people and made countless friends along the way.

Mom was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ.

In 1990 she met the love of her life Wayne Aoki. They were married in 1994 and made their home in Honeyville, UT. Wayne took away all of Mom's worries. Finally, mom had someone to take care of her and he did up until her last breath. For that we are truly grateful.

Mom was an amazing Gramee, who loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with all she had.

Mom is survived by her loving husband Wayne Aoki; children Scot (Tami) Lewis, Gina (Travis) Talbot, Ashley (Michael) Aoki, Jennifer Paulette & Nicolas Mitchell; 15 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren; sister LeAnn Baird & brother Jack (Vickey) Peterson.

She is preceded in death by her wonderful parents Pat & Rae and her two precious daughters Lori & Katy. Half of her heart has always been in Heaven and now it is whole again. What a beautiful reunion it was, I'm sure.

A private family viewing will be held at her request. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2024, at 11 A.M. at the Fielding Cemetery (17200 N 4400 W- Fielding, UT). Friends & family are welcome. Online condolences can be found at www.ruddfuneralhome.com.

We would personally like to thank the CNA's & nurses at Symbii Hospice who lovingly took care of our mom and to our dad. Thank you for loving our mom.
