Benjamin Rivera Obituary

TRENTON - Benjamin "Bin" Rivera, 64, of Trenton, passed into God's welcome embrace on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Toa Alta, Puerto Rico, Mr. Rivera was an area resident for many years and enjoyed playing dominoes, fishing, listening to music and playing the Guiro for which he was very well known. He was a volunteer at Catholic Charities Trenton.
Mr. Rivera is predeceased by his father, Florentino Rivera.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved and devoted wife of 45 years, Florentina Rivera; his caring mother, Teresa Cintron Rosa; six wonderful children, Carmen L. Padilla, Carmen M. Rivera, Benjamin and (Jannette), Luis E and (Wendy), Jorge and (Elia), and Ivette Arroyo; two brothers, Santiago and Jorge; 16 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces nephews and other relatives and his dog Jack.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish/The Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Cross, 201 Adeline St., South Trenton. Interment will be in Colonial Memorial Park, 3039 South Broad St., Hamilton.
Visiting hours for Mr. Rivera are Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Monday from 8 to 9 a.m. at The Chiacchio Southview Funeral Home, 990 South Broad St., South Trenton (parking facilities and wheel chair access located directly behind funeral home at back entrance).

Benjamín,

Que Dios y la Virgen te cuides y te acompañes ahora que estés con ellos en el Reino del Señor. Nos vas hacer muchas falta pero yo se que estas en un lugar mucho mejor. Siempre te voy a tener en mis oraciones y en mi corazón y también a su familia. Le mandas saludo a mi Papa (Gerónimo Carreras) por mi.
