David Kaplan Obituary

David E. Kaplan, 74, of Hamilton passed away on Sunday September 2, 2018 at Capital Health System - Hopewell. Born in Trenton, he was a Hamilton resident. A graduate of Hamilton High School West, he loved sports and was an avid fan of Notre Dame University Football, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the NY Yankees. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War and reaching the rank of Sergeant. Mr. Kaplan had a 40 year career with Merrill Lynch, and was a Regional Vice-President in Short Hills, NJ for the last 11years. The family will receive friends at Our Lady of Sorrows RC. Church, 3816 East State St. Ext. Hamilton, NJ 08619 on Tuesday September 11th from 8:30 - 11AM. I'm sorry I can not be at Dave's funeral.
I grew up with Dave in Yardville and also
played basketball with him at Hamilton High West.
A few years ago we got together and have started meeting once a month with other high school graduates at the Broad Street Diner for breakfast and to reminisce, tell tall stories and have some laughter. Dave is truly, going to be missed. I believe Dave is now with God in his Heavenly Kingdom and that someday we will all get
together again for some more laughter.

Jennifer- I am so sorry for your loss. Your dad was my favorite customer on my paper route and I learned that he needed to be my last collection of the night or I'd never finish. I'd hang out your house when you were just a little girl laughing and joking about everything. A few years ago I did communicate with him through a HHW alumni site. I'll be sure to pass this sad news on to my family that also knew him well.

Dear Linda,

I was so sad to learn of Dave's passing. My prayers are with you and your family at this difficult time. Having recently lost my own "big brother" I can assure you that the pain of Dave's loss will fade and fond memories of him will soon return. May he rest in peace.
