Bedwell, Donald F. "Don" Age 84, a resident of Joliet, IL since 1968, died Monday, December 30, 2013 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, IL. He was born August 7, 1929 in Old Appleton, MO, the son of the late Vernon and Lucy Bedwell. Beloved husband of Evonne (nee Brandon) Bedwell; loving father of Alice (Michael) Bedwell Offerman of Waukesha, WI and Donna (Kevin) Naranjo of Taos, NM; loving step-father of Kevin (Cheryl) Balog of Noblesville, IN; adored grandfather of Margaret (Elliot) Struve and Christina Offerman; Stephanie Balog and Natalie Naranjo; dear brother of the late Mary (the late Walter) Balsmann; fond uncle of several. Don was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean (nee Parker) Bedwell. Don was a proud member of the U.S. Naval Reserves for many years. He attended Southeastern Missouri State University and worked as an account manager for General Motors Acceptance Corp. (GMAC) for many years. Visitation Friday, January 3, 2014 from 1:00 2:00 p.m. at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home, Plainfield, IL. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
