Joan Matlock Obituary
She was born in Burlington, N.J. and educated in the Burlington public school system and graduated from Wilbur Watts High School. She was a resident of Trenton, N.J., for more than 40 years. She was employed at Fort Dix Walson Army Hospital and retired after 35 years of service and 10 years of service at the State of New Jersey at the Department of Taxation.
She was a member of Capital Center Congregation.
She was predeceased by her parents, Virginia Mae and Alexander Anthony O'Neill. She leaves to cherish her precious memories three children, Donna, Douglas (Tony), and Dana Matlock; three grandchildren, Monica (Richard) Matlock-Tibbs, Douglas Matlock, Jr., and Darian Matlock; five great-grandchildren, Tai, Rylhe, Mya and Tyel; three sisters, Barbara Jean (Alfred) Myers, Deanna Harris, and Alexis (Richard) Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held at Hughes Funeral Home, 324 Bellevue Ave., Trenton, NJ 08618, at 11 a.m. Saturday (Feb. 23). Calling hours will be from 9 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be private. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.

We send our sincere condolences to the family of the late Joan Matlock. She was a sweet, funny person and one that i will never forget. I used to work with her at the Division of Revenue and she always had a smile on her face. I am sure that she touched many people who will also miss her dearly. May God Bless all of you and continue to keep you strong.
