Rosalie Wood

Rosalie Nickens Wood age 87 of Somerset, NJ passed away June 24, 2019 at Somerset Woods Nursing Facility, Somerset, NJ. Born in Princeton, NJ, she attended Witherspoon School for Coloreds, Princeton, NJ, graduated from high school in Schenectady, New York, and graduated from Princeton LPN School of Nursing. She was employed by Princeton Medical Center in a variety of departments until her retirement. After her retirement from Princeton Medical Center she worked at Capital Health in Somerset, NJ for five years and retired again. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton. Rosalie was the daughter of the late Bessie Cummings and Harold Nickens, wife of the late Robert L. Wood Sr., mother of the late Robin Jean Wood and Robert L. Wood Jr. and sister of the late Betty Cummings. She leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Sharon Suber, her son, Keith David Wood, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one niece, and several cousins and friends. Funeral service will be 11am Monday, July 8, 2019 at First Baptist Church, John Street and Paul Robeson Place, Princeton, NJ. Calling hours will be 9am until the time of service at the church. Interment will be at Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, NJ. Arrangements are by the Hughes Funeral Home.
