Arthur Nolder Obituary

Arthur E. Nolder Jr., 67, Luthersburg, passed away Monday, August 16, 2021 at the DuBois Nursing Home.

Born April 12, 1954, in Southgate, Michigan, he was the son of the late Ernest and Evelyn Nolder.

Arthur graduated from Southgate High School and went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Lake Superior State University. While in college, he was a radio broadcaster. He was employed by the USDA as a plant biologist. After his retirement he moved to the DuBois area. In his retirement, he worked as the groundskeeper at Camp Curry Creek and as a crew leader for the Pa. Bureau of Forestry for their Youth Conservation Corps. He served his community as a volunteer for the Brady Township Ambulance and Fire Department. Arthur enjoyed listening to music and he was an accomplished saxophonist, playing at various weddings and concerts. He also was a talented photographer. He enjoyed studying astronomy and spending time in the outdoors camping and observing nature. Arthur had many friends that helped him through many difficult health problems.

Arthur is survived by several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

There will be no public visitation or service. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in Luthersburg, Pa.

Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
