Barbara Nordberg Obituary
Born on August 20, 1944, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late William H. and Virginia A. (Carr) Forgit.
Barbara married John A. Nordberg on May 3, 1980. He preceded her in death in 2013.
Barbara worked 21 years in the Administrative Office of the United States Courts in Washington, D.C. In 1994, John and Barbra moved to Falls Creek and soon after established Laurel Mountain Vineyard. Barbra spent a tremendous number of hours with the winery business and carried forward after John's passing. Barbra enjoyed playing tennis with friends at Treasure Lake. She also enjoyed planting flowers at the house and spending time with family.
Barbara had two children: Vicki (Mike) Tretick of Falls Creek, PA and John Gray of Charlotte, NC, three step-children: Laurie (Tim) Marburger of Westerville, OH, Dirk (Lisa) Nordberg of Marysville, OH and Mike Nordberg of Rollinsville, CO. She was a grandmother to Taylor, Taryn and Myer Tretick; Cole (Stephanie) Marburger, Chase (Amy) Marburger, Carly (Jack) Overly, Chole (Griffin) Harris; Cecily (Cory) Blankenship, Haley (Tim) Bocook and Zoie (Ryan) Ramirez, and had several great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life for the public will be held at Laurel Mountain Winery on Sunday, Aug. 4, 1-4 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to Gateway Humane Society, Inc., PO Box 678, Falls Creek, PA, 15840.
The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Barbara was a dear friend of mine when we lived on Oak Lane in Virginia. she always worked hard and helped neighbors in need. She threw fabulous parties and was a wonderful cook. My husband and I actually spent our honeymoon at the winery many years ago. I know Barbara will be missed by so many and my thoughts are with her family and friends.
