Darlene Mowrey Obituary

Darlene L. Mowrey, 48, of DuBois, Pa., died on Thursday, July 28, 2016, at her home in DuBois, Pa.
Born Tuesday, June 18, 1968, in DuBois, Pa., she was the daughter of Thomas Mowrey and the late Gertrude A. (White) Mowrey.
She was a nanny for many years and worked for government officials, doctors and lawyers. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church. She loved animals and worked with animal rescues and shelters.
In addition to her father, she in survived by brothers, Devin Mowrey (Linda) of Kingwood, Texas and Donald Mowrey (Michele) of Reynoldsville, Pa.; sister, Diane Mowrey (Scott Harington) of Severna Park, Md.; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Salem United Methodist Church, located at 2000 Carson Hill Road, DuBois, Pa., with the Pastor Richard Howe officiating. Interment will be in Lakelawn Memorial Park, Reynoldsville, Pa.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bernard P. Snyder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville.

We Love You, and will miss you so! We are thankful for you being a part of our lives and often talk about times with you! (Especially the Florida trip when Bobby was a toddler). We know you are in Heaven with your Mom and other loved ones!

I can not believe this, Darlene was named after me, I remember when Aunt Gert asked me if it was ok if she used my middle name, so before Darlene was born I did a lot of odd jobs so I could buy her something, which was acouple of sleepers, one had bunny feet and bunny ears which started my obsession with the animal sleepers, my granddaughter looked like a duck until I couldn't get them in her size anymore....Darlene was so cute, I know she is with Aunt Gert.....If there is anything I can do for you in this time of need please let me know....
