Paige E. (Painter) Henry, 83, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
Paige was born in Kittanning, PA, on January 27, 1942, to the late Paul A. Painter and Maxine M. (Martz) Crawford, and Darrel Crawford.
Paige graduated from Brookville High School in Brookville, PA with the Class of 1959. She earned a degree from DuBois Business College in DuBois, PA.
Paige married her true love, Robert E. Henry, on August 11, 1962, in Brookville, PA; he survives. For over sixty-two years, their union was characterized by a deep and joyful love, marked by mutual devotion to one another.
Paige was initially employed as a secretary for Brookville Equipment in Brookville, PA before moving to a position with Unilec in DuBois, PA. Later, she focused on being a homemaker, devoting herself to raising her children, while also teaching piano and playing the organ at various churches.
Throughout her entire married life, Paige was a member of the Brookville First Methodist Church in Brookville, PA. For numerous years, she served as the church organist, participated in the Methodist handbell choir, taught Sunday school, and was a member of the United Methodist Women's organization.
Paige enjoyed various activities, including needlework, avid reading, traveling, and participating in the Brookville Community Theater in Brookville, PA, being a part of the first production, "Gameshow." She was also involved with the Silver Sneakers program. She had also been actively involved with the Pine Creek Ladies Auxiliary in Brookville, PA. Paige enjoyed watching her favorite sports team, the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Paige fulfilled her roles as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend with such a profound place in her heart. She was her family's most loyal supporter, attending their events, and encouraging them in every one of their pursuits. She was a kind-hearted individual who was always approachable and eager to engage in conversation, thereby forming close bonds with numerous people she cared about. Paige lived her life guided by her strong faith and spirituality. Her memory will continue to be cherished by those who adored her.
In addition to her husband Bob, Paige is survived by four children: Elizabeth (Beth) Henry, Stephen (Shannon Nair) Henry, Kristen (Curtis) Drake, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Dynda; six grandchildren: Alyssa P. Drake, Mattisen M. Drake, Daniel R. Drake, Grace A. Henry, Lauren M. Dynda, and Maxwell H. Dynda; three bonus grandchildren; Tucker Wolfe, Griffen Wolfe, and Liana Wolfe; and one bonus great-grandchild; Dylan.
Paige is preceded in death by her father Paul Painter, her mother Maxine Crawford and her stepfather Darrel Crawford.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale Road, Brookville, PA 15825. A second viewing will take place at the Brookville First Methodist Church, 205 Jefferson St., Brookville, PA 15825, on Sunday March 23, 2025, from 3-4 p.m. A funeral service will be held following the second viewing also at the church, beginning at 4 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Joe Short.
Interment will take place at the Brookville Cemetery, Jefferson Co., PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carrier Funeral Home, 2834 Maplevale Road, Brookville, PA 15825.
