James Hall Obituary

James T. Hall, 80, of Normalville, died suddenly Monday, April 5, 2010. He was born Dec. 12, 1929, in Normalville, a son of the late William F. and Susan Stillwagon Hall. He was self-employed, owned and operated his own saw mill for 60 years. He loved the outdoors, spending time in the woods and hunting wild game. Jim also liked gardening, growing vegetables and flowers. Throughout life he was a devoted son to his parents, a hard worker, good family man to his wife, children and grandchildren and loved by many. He is survived by a son, James T. Hall Jr. and his wife, Louise, of Mill Run; four daughters, Diane Woods and her husband, William, of Adelaide, Connie Honaker and her husband, Ben, of Mill Run, Cathy Younkin and her husband, James, of Mill Run, and Tina Sechrist and her husband, James, of Connellsville; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Ronald Hall and his wife, Caroline, of Greensburg, Raymond Hall and his wife, Audrey, Butch Hall and his wife, Louise, all of Connellsville, Teddy Hall and his wife, Virginia, of Acme; five sisters, Betty Chambers, of Pittsburgh, Pearl Nicholson and her husband, Junior, of Dunbar, Joanne Burnsworth, of Connellsville, Alice Striner and her husband, Butch, of Normalville, and Linda Saxon and her husband, John, of Connellsville; also several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Jim was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Laws Hall, in 2005; two brothers, Carl Hall and Billy Hall; and two sisters, Stella Yealey and Eva Jean Mansberry. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the VITO C. MARTUCCI FUNERAL HOME, 123 S. First St., West Side, Connellsville, and until 11 a.m. Saturday, the hour of service, with Pastor Bobbi Sechrist officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Cemetery, Normalville.
