Lawrence Lenhart Obituary

Lawrence H. Lenhart Jr., 80, of North Belle Vernon, died Sunday, April 11, 2004, at 1 a.m. at Residence At Hilltop, Carroll Twp. Born Feb. 2, 1924, in Uniontown, he was the son of the late Lawrence H. Sr. and Jane Ford Lenhart. Mr. Lenhart was a resident of North Belle Vernon for the past 48 years, was Christian by faith and was retired from former West Penn Power where he worked as an electrician. A veteran of W.W. II, having served with the Merchant Marine, U.S. Army and Navy Armed Guard, he was also a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the AMMV of Southwestern, Pa. He is survived by three daughters and sons in law, Kathleen Jane and Glenn Lawrence of Gowanda, N.Y., Elizabeth Ann and Timothy R. Stiffy of Bentleyville, Pa., Jane Marie and Timothy Tarabrella of Middleburg, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jonathan D. Stiffy, Kimberly J. Alvers, Blanche Tarabrella and Katie Dolphin Lawrence and friend Julia Paholski with two granddaughters, Julianne Crowl and Jennifer Crowl of Belle Vernon, Pa. He is preceded in death by his wife Regina Ann Gouker on Oct. 26, 1992, and half brother Frank Ewing. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Services will be held Wednesday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald A. Bowers of First Christian Church of Belle Vernon officiating. Interment will take place in Greenridge Memorial Park, Connellsville. The Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 will conduct services Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
